{"id":760,"date":"2015-08-02T10:56:12","date_gmt":"2015-08-02T10:56:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.eylonconsulting.com\/bukovina\/blog\/?p=760"},"modified":"2015-08-10T08:09:52","modified_gmt":"2015-08-10T08:09:52","slug":"budinetz-murder-site-by-avraham-iwanir","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eylonconsulting.com\/bukovina\/blog\/?p=760","title":{"rendered":"Budinetz Murder Site &#8211; by Avraham Iwanir"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In July 2015 I attended \u201c<strong>The journey on the path of Romanian Jews Holocaust<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>the valley of death \u2013 Transnistria<\/strong>\u201d.\u00a0In 2006, I also participated in a \u201c<strong>Roots journey<\/strong>\u201d to <strong>North Bukovina<\/strong>, that was organized by <strong>Mr. Danny Marian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I think the current trip is the first historical event (and hopefully not the last !).<\/p>\n<p>The mass murder of <strong>North<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Bukovina<\/strong> and <strong>Bessarabia Jews was in<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>July 1941<\/strong>, in which approximately 120,000 Jews were murdered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Village Chudey (Czudyn)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In early July 1941, all Jews in the <strong>Northern<\/strong> <strong>Bukovina village Chudey<\/strong> were murdered by the Romanian army.<\/p>\n<p>In this journey, I felt it is a sacred duty to locate the place of the murder of the <strong>Chudey and Budinetz Jews<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Budinetz (Budineti)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Just a few kilometers from Chudey, along the road bordering the woods, we saw a <strong>Star of David<\/strong> (<strong>Magen David<\/strong>) made of concrete, with a sign &#8211; a\u00a0small plaque in memory of the murder site.\u00a0Further details are in the file in the link below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eylonconsulting.com\/bukovina\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/The-murder-site-of-Budinetz-Jews.pdf\">The murder site of Budinetz Jews<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In July 2015 I attended \u201cThe journey on the path of Romanian Jews Holocaust\u00a0and the valley of death \u2013 Transnistria\u201d.\u00a0In 2006, I also participated in a \u201cRoots journey\u201d to North Bukovina, that was organized by Mr. Danny Marian.
