On 11-15 July 2016\u00a0a delegation of the World Organization of Bukovina Jews<\/strong> traveled\u00a0to North Bukovina<\/strong> for a pilot project to survey Jewish Heritage Sites<\/strong> in the area around Storozhynetz.\u00a0The team members were Sara Sweiry, Nathan Kinsbrunner and Baruch Eylon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During this trip the team surveyed 12 heritage sites, met with local officials, filled the questionnaire (using a mobile application that allows capturing text and pictures, including GPS coordinates) and posted the information on the web, to make it available to all interested people around the world.<\/p>\n

The team also prepared recommendations what to do in each site.

This post provides pictures taken by the team at\u00a0the memorial for the Budinetz Jews that were murdered in WWII\u00a0. The memorial\u00a0is located along\u00a0the road going from Budinetz to Chudey, approximately 1km after Budinetz.
\nThe memorial was built by the authorities approximately in 2006.<\/p>\n
